Job descriptionServe as first assist for orthopedic surgeries, with a focus on total joint replacements and sports medicine cases Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments Assist with intraoperative care and surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes Provide patient education regarding procedures and recovery expectations Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards Must have a valid North Carolina license Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Experience in orthopedic surgery, specifically total joints and sports medicine, is highly preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Bolster your CV with a diverse range of experiences, demonstrating adaptability, versatility, and a commitment to excellence. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This position begins on Nov 17, 2025, and offers weekday shifts with flexible hours, including early morning and evening options. The assignment focuses on first assist duties in orthopedic surgery, primarily total joints and sports medicine, and provides an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dedicated surgical team.
