Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist responsible for all aspects of specimen collection, receiving, and referrals. Join our team to make a difference in patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Comply with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, infection control, safety standards, and privacy regulations regarding health information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of collection areas and restock supplies as required.
• Assist in procuring department supplies alongside the team lead.
• Conduct all phlebotomy duties, including specimen collection and preparation for external lab referrals.
• Perform various patient specimen collections—venipuncture, capillary collections, and cultures.
• Ensure all specimen collection requirements are met to maintain specimen integrity.
• Exhibit strong communication skills with patients, families, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
• Utilize the laboratory computer system for document management related to specimen information and patient registration.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed, including on-call duties, inventory management, and special projects.
• Complete performance evaluations and competency assessments in a timely manner.
