Toyota's Strategic Investments team is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated senior financial analyst.
This role will split its time between strategic investments responsibilities and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) responsibilities. Reporting to the Manager Strategic Investments the person in this role will support strategic investment projects, as well as FP&A activities for Toyota's strategy and business development division.
What you'll be doing :
- Conduct due diligence and develop recommendations for strategic investment opportunities, including validating or creating financial models, desktop research, participating in internal and external calls, developing presentations, and presenting to senior leadership including the CFO
- Monitor and operationalize existing investments, including attending investor calls, analyzing financial and operational reports, and partnering with portfolio company on business plan updates and other ad hoc requests
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and month-end variance analysis for Enterprise Strategy and Solutions division
- Review and support the approval of internal business cases
- Partner closely with business units and other Accounting & Finance teams to support ad hoc requests related to approvals, tax, accounting, budgeting & forecasting, etc.
- Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed
What you bring :
Bachelor's degree or higherExperience with business cases, strategic investments, Venture Capital / Private Equity (VC / PE), Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), corporate development, and / or distressed asset transactionsExperience developing financial models for investment analysis including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable companies, comparable transactions, and other valuation methodologiesExperience with FP&A, including forecasting and budgeting and month-end variance analysisSelf-starter with the ability to perform in a dynamic, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented environment while keeping the broader strategy in mindExpertise in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as vLookups, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and complex formulasAbility to create high-level presentations within Microsoft PowerPoint and present to various levels of leadership up to C-Suite; ability to articulate granular details during Q&A sessionsAbility to cross-functionally collaborate and liaise with various business groups including Taxes, Accounting, and Legal for problem resolutionAdded bonus if you have :
