Salary Range : $58.00 - $87.50

Schedule : 7 on 7 off rotation

Shift : 12 : 00pm - 10 : 30pm

Job Summary

The Inpatient Pharmacist plays a crucial role in patient care by reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, assessing the necessary ingredients, and evaluating their suitability. Responsibilities include :

• Providing information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
• Reviewing and interpreting provider orders and providing comprehensive drug information.
• Engaging in problem-solving and other aspects of pharmaceutical care.
• Handling unit dose dispensing, IV admixtures, outpatient prescriptions, and navigating the electronic medical record.
• Compounding and managing automated dispensing devices.
• Utilizing age-specific patient information to meet the pharmaceutical needs of diverse patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Ensuring compliance with established regulations and pharmacy practice standards.
• Acting as a shift supervisor when required, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Providing oversight and clinical supervision for pharmacy services and support personnel.

Pharmacy services at Sanford Health include involvement in areas such as acute care surgery, neurology, cardiology, pediatrics, oncology, infusion services, intensive care, general medicine, dialysis, transplant, antimicrobial stewardship, and medication reconciliation.
