Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager supporting Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Consumer Small Business Bank Division.
In this role, you will :
- Participate in performing financial research, underwriting, and structuring of small business loan requests within Small Business Administration functional area.
- Review and research business financial statements and tax returns that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
- Communicate with borrowers and third parties to clarify documentation and resolve underwriting issues.
- Assess collateral and repayment capacity to determine risk levels and appropriate loan structures.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and underwriting documentation for loan approval.
- Resolve moderately complex issues, to meet project deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, SOP, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with relationship managers, loan processors, lending officers and SBA specialists to facilitate smooth loan origination.
Required Qualifications :
2+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications :
Experience with complex credit, underwriting, and debt structure within the small business administration (SBA) segmentFamiliarity with SBA eligibility requirements and standards of practiceCompletion of a formal credit training programComprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services, such as commercial lending and treasury managementExperience in swiftly adopting and executing change management to enable business growthExperience developing and maintaining external and internal partnershipsExperience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and proceduresExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or businessJob Expectations :
