Locum Tenens Opportunity : General Medicine Physician Near Frederic, MI

We are seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity near Frederic, MI. This position is perfect for providers looking for a flexible, PRN-based role where they can contribute to the health and well-being of veterans. The role involves conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments, offering an excellent opportunity to utilize your clinical skills in a meaningful and impactful way.

      Key Responsibilities :

      Conduct Non-Treatment Exams

      Perform one-time C&P exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily through interviews and limited physical assessments.

    • Assessments may include range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and other relevant evaluations.
    • Ensure the completion of all evaluations within 48 hours of exam completion, with no narrative report requiredonly standardized forms.
    • Option for Flexible Coverage

      Two options are available : Travel to perform exams at a leased facility or schedule veterans within your own practice.

    • Work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) based on your availability and preference.
    • No Prescribing or Treatment

      This role is focused solely on assessments, with no requirement for prescribing or ongoing treatment, making it ideal for physicians looking for a non-clinical role.

      Support & Training :

    • Quick Credentialing & Onboarding
    • Streamlined processes to get you started quickly and efficiently.

    • Training Provided
    • Comprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting / Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and the use of the provider portal.

    • Use of Personal Equipment
    • Physicians must have their own laptop (no Macs) for completing evaluations and reporting.

      Required Expertise :

    • Specialized Knowledge
    • Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiology is essential.

    • Proficiency in METs testing and the ability to evaluate and diagnose respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions are required.
    • Certification Requirements
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible.

    • DMA certification is available, offering CME credits upon completion (required if not already certified).
    • Additional Information :

    • Follow-Up Administrative Work
    • Regular administrative tasks such as addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic readings are part of the role.
