Job Description

Salary Range : $80,000-$100,000 per year; depending on experience

Academic Enterprise Communications (AE Comms) is seeking a talented UX / UI Designer with a strong user research mindset to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in creating compelling, user-centered digital experiences that align with our brand and strategic communication goals. You will apply your expertise to designing interfaces that effectively present and facilitate interaction with AI-generated content and AI-powered tools. If you're a creative problem-solver passionate about understanding user needs, translating them into intuitive designs, and growing your expertise at the intersection of design, user psychology, and emerging AI technologies, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Duties

• Design user-centered experiences for various digital platforms, including websites and specialized interfaces for interacting with AI-powered content and tools.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using industry-standard tools like Figma, ensuring designs are intuitive, accessible, and responsive across devices.
• Conduct and contribute to user research efforts, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analysis of user behavior data to inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze user journeys and behavior patterns, identifying friction points and recommending design solutions to optimize user experience and engagement.
• Collaborate closely with content strategists, AI / ML Developers, AI Content Curators, and marketing leads to ensure cohesive and impactful user experiences across all initiatives.
• Utilize analytics and A / B testing platforms to validate design hypotheses and iterate on experiences, providing insights into user behavior and engagement.
• Present research findings and design recommendations clearly and concisely to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Advocate for accessibility, responsive design, and UX best practices throughout the design process.
