Job descriptionProvide social-emotional support and counseling to students in individual and group settings. Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop intervention plans. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans to support student success. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address behavioral, emotional, and academic concerns. Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing trauma or significant life challenges. Connect students and families with community resources and social services. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and behavioral intervention planning. Educate and support teachers and staff on mental health awareness and classroom behavior management strategies. Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement (issued by the Illinois State Board of Education – ISBE). Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred but not required. Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required. Competitive Pay : We negotiate on your behalf to ensure you get a pay package that fits your needs. Work-Life Balance : Enjoy contracts up to 40 hours per week, unlike salaried positions, you would be paid time 1.5 for anything approved over 40 hours by your supervisor. Dedicated Support : Our dedicated Relationship Manager is there with you every step of the way to ensure you have what you need Flexibility Post-Contract : Options to extend your contract, convert to a permanent position, or explore new opportunities. Personal Time Off : Accrue paid time off for every hour worked Paid Holidays : 6 Paid holidays : Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Presidents Day and Memorial Day. Material Reimbursement : Reimbursement of $250.00 for any supplies purchased for your classroom Professional Development : We offer a reimbursement of $500.00 towards professional development this can include : CEU’s, licensing fees, etc Medical, dental, and vision are offered Continued insurance coverage over the summer is optional for the employee. A 4% 401(k) match to help you plan for the future.
We are looking for a talented School Social Worker for the school year.
We are hiring (2) School Social Workers. We have the following options available :
- (1) full-time School Social Worker serving K-3 students split between two sites
- (1) full-time School Socail Worker serving K-5 students at one site.
