Join Our Team as a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer!

SimVentions, a top-rated workplace, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to enhance our Blue Team capabilities. In this role, you'll partner with both Red Team members and other cybersecurity experts to bolster defense readiness and compliance efforts for our systems.

Note : This position is contingent upon the award of a contract, expected in December 2025.

Clearance Requirements : An ACTIVE Secret clearance (IT Level II Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) is essential for this role. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access. US Citizenship is required for clearance procurement.

Key Responsibilities Include :

• System hardening across various Operating System platforms.
• Monitoring and evaluating network security following DoD policies.
• Implementing MITRE ATT&CK and / or MITRE D3FEND frameworks to enhance threat detection strategies.
• Conducting advanced threat intelligence analysis and recommending improvements.
• Executing vulnerability assessments using tools like Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
• Creating and implementing remediation plans based on vulnerability findings.
• Applying vendor patches and modifying configurations on Linux and Windows systems.
• Designing and enforcing security controls for network, hardware, and software systems.

Applicants must possess one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certifications :

Education : A Bachelor’s in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is required.

Compensation : SimVentions offers competitive salaries, with projected annual compensation ranging from $100,000 to $160,000, based on various factors including experience and security clearance.
