Looking to make a meaningful impact in healthcare? East Liberty Family Health Care Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is searching for a dedicated Insurance Verification Specialist who will also serve as a front desk backup to ensure exceptional patient care.

Your Role :

🔹 Verify primary and secondary insurance carriers for patients

🔹 Connect with patients to update coverage details and coordinate benefits

🔹 Calculate co-insurance and co-payment amounts accurately

🔹 Support non-insured patients by offering our sliding fee scale options

As a Front Desk Backup, You'll Also :

• Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
• Assist patients in person, over the phone, and via digital communication
• Explain clinic procedures, appointment schedules, and patient rights
• Schedule and confirm appointments using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Handle cancellations and rescheduling while optimizing efficiency
• Verify demographic and insurance information at check-in
• Assist patients with forms, offering translation when necessary
• Collect co-pays, sliding-scale payments, and other fees
• Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams for seamless patient care
• Stay informed about community resources to better assist patients
