Position Summary

CBG Surveying Texas LLC is seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Clerk for a temporary, full-time role in our Garland, Texas office. This position is projected to last approximately 3 months.

The Cost Accounting Clerk will play a key role in supporting the integration of multiple new systems, including NetSuite, Striven, Emburse, and Paylocity. As departmental roles evolve with these implementations, this position will also provide additional support to the accounting team as needed.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain the system of automatic tracking, entry, and classification of vendor bills to newly established project, department, product line, and location codes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to develop methods for classifying labor charges and entering them into the new coding structure.
  • Reconcile all general ledger accounts at each month-end.
  • Generate cost reports, review for accuracy, and make necessary reclassifications.
  • Maintain an organized and secure electronic filing system .
  • Provide daily reporting to the Controller.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as needed to support departmental goals.
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
  • Meet defined department goals and activity metrics.
  • Work on-site Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM .

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of overall accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Cost accounting knowledge and experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or NetSuite a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
