GIS ANALYST 1-3 / EAST BATON ROUGE
This position provides Geospatial Technology support (including GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing analysis) primarily to the Office of Wildlife and secondarily to other units of LDWF on an as-needed basis.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in using geographic information systems (GIS), using digital mapping and / or surveying technology, or in aerial photography; OR
Twelve semester hours in a computer science, GIS, or geospatial field plus one year of experience in using geographic information systems, using digital mapping and / or surveying technology, or in aerial photography; OR
A bachelor's degree with twelve semester hours in a computer science, GIS, or geospatial field.

POSITION- SPECIFIC DETAILS :
This position is domiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Appointment Type : Job appointment, probational appointment, promotional, or detail to special duty.
If filled as a job appointment, there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a probational appointment should funding become available. Current permanent status classified state employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if selected.
Career Progression : This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and is advertised as a GIS Analyst 1, 2 or 3.
