Job description

Join Axon and be a Force for Good.

At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

The features you work on will help shape how Public Safety works and contribute to making society a safer and more trusting place. This role will build and launch highly complex, cloud connected, premium SW features for Axon's in-vehicle camera product line. In the role you'll own all aspects about a product feature's launch. You'll ensure its design resonates with customers, work with engineering to maintain a high quality bar, and work with the broader business to ensure Axon's products are competitive in the market.

What You’ll Do

Location : This role is based out of our Seattle, WA Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.

Reports to : Director of Product Management

Direct Reports : None

  • This PM will lead growth and adoption of AI related workflows for Axon’s in-vehicle camera products. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of the customer landscape, and market opportunities, current product gaps, device innovations and own overall product strategy and growth.
  • Monitor hardware and software quality and review customer satisfaction for products at scale (100K to 1M users)
  • Make data driven product decisions, using a mix of CSAT, product telemetry, and sales / marketing data
  • Work with autonomy, building relationships across Support, Sales, Cloud SW, distributed sister Product R&D teams, and many other groups throughout a business. Form the connective tissue for how the team will operate within Axon.
  • Triage and prioritize feature improvement requests from existing customers. Engage in VoC sessions to translate customer needs into well crafted product requirement documents, work with engineering to define costs, prioritize amongst a multitude of competing needs, all while managing customer expectations through clear communication.
  • Guide and arbitrate customer escalations with tact and deftness. You’ll have teams that can lead on customer support issues. However, CSAT and excellent customer service is an Axon differentiator, you’ll always encourage the team to put customers first and you don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to support when you have to.

What You Bring

  • You have a Bachelors degree in Business or STEM fields.
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of product management experience. Bonus if you’ve worked on IoT devices, intelligent cameras, cloud SW, or public safety technology.
  • You’ve led AI-centric feature launches in the past and are comfortable with processes to make 1P AI models.
  • You’re an excellent communicator. You can deliver simplified guidance to executive leadership and detailed proposals to your PM peers and engineering teams.
  • You’re a skilled executor who has a spirit of OWN IT. You’re comfortable flexing and owning items outside your swim lane when needed. You’re also comfortable spotting and driving processes that need improvement, making the business more efficient.
  • You can understand technical complexity and are able to communicate well while you work with engineering during a feature’s development. Bonus points if you understand technologies behind cloud connected IoT device, cameras, or AI driven workflows.
  • You’re obsessed with your users and customers. You’re familiar with customer satisfaction measures (NPS / CSAT) and are able to synthesize customer feedback into meaningful product changes.
