Azure BIG Data Developer

A Risk Solutions company is looking for an Azure Big Data Developer to join their team to support a market intelligence business case. The company is bringing in more insurance data into their Azure data lake. The ideal resources will have core Java development experience in an Azure cloud environment with a strong understanding of data manipulation and how large data sets are processed. It is critical that these candidates have excellent communication skills because they will be presenting on stand ups and interacting with high level internal stakeholders. This team works in a hybrid model onsite in Dayton, OH 1X / week. The pay rate for this role ranges based off years of experience between $60-70 / hour.

• Python
• 8+ years' of data development experience
• Cloud experience, preferably Azure
• Understanding of how large data sets are processed
• Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of normalized / dimensional data modeling principles.
• Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
• Proficient with SQL
• Ability to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
• PowerBI for visualizations
• Java development
