Software programming for Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCsCollaborate with sales, other engineers, and project managers throughout the course of a jobHandle multiple projects at one timePerform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on shop floor during set-up and testingWork with electrical / mechanical assembly team to prepare for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)Interface directly with customers during FAT and commissioningTravel to customer locations all over the United States for start-up and commissioningPerform training for customer personnel as part of commissioning processEngineer and design pneumatic schematics and electrical wiring programsDesign electrical control panels and programmable human machine interface (HMI) softwareDesign programmable logic controller softwareDesign programmable human machine interface (HMI) softwareDebug and provide start-up support for control systemsSupport various I / O devices connected to PLC's including HMI's, scanners, remote I / O, sensors, relays, solenoids, servo drives, etc., and support / assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting pneumatic circuitsRequirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, and / or equivalent10 years' experience as a Controls EngineerA minimum of 5 years' experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens software requiredExperience with Rockwell and programs like FactoryTalk.Experience with ePlan is a plusExperience with industrial power & control circuitsAble to maintain a professional and friendly personality in high-stress situationsComfortable troubleshooting and problem-solving in the fieldRelated Controls, Engineering, manufacturing experience and material handling a plusAbility to troubleshoot problems with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, interfacing with electrical systemsWilling to work overtime and travel up to 33%Technology
