Role Overview :
As a Chimney Repair Crew Member, youll provide general labor support on chimney and masonry repair jobs. Youll assist with relining, masonry repair, chimney caps, chase covers, flashing, waterproofing, and general site cleanup and organization. Well train you on the specific techniques and systems we usebut you should already have basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in chimney masonry repair tasks (repointing, replacing bricks, patching, parging)Help with chimney relining (HeatShield, stainless steel liners, etc.)Assist with installation and repair of chimney caps, chase covers, flashing, and other weatherproofing componentsMix, carry, and apply mortar, sealants, waterproofing productsCarry tools, materials, and supplies between ground and work areaPrepare and maintain work areas (drop cloths, scaffolding, safety barriers)Clean up debris, haul waste, sweep job site dailyMaintain and organize tools, equipment, and materialsFollow safety protocols (fall protection, PPE, ladder safety, etc.)Report issues, material needs, or unexpected site conditions to foreman / supervisorBe willing to perform related tasks as needed (roof work, assisting lead masons, etc.)Requirements & Qualifications :

Transportation : Reliable vehicle to get to / from job sites in Virginia Beach / Hampton RoadsWork schedule : MondaySaturday (weather permitting), hours vary, workload depends on seasonPhysical capability : Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work on roofs, perform physically strenuous tasksBasic tool familiarity : Comfortable using hand tools (hammers, chisels, trowels, levels) and power tools (drills, grinders, saws)Willingness to learn & take direction on the jobGood attitude, dependable, punctual, team playerNice-to-Haves / Preferred
Some experience in masonry, roofing, general constructionUnderstanding of masonry materials (brick, mortar mixes, sealants)Basic knowledge of flashing, waterproofing, and metal workSome familiarity with CSIA / NFPA guidelines (well provide training)Roofing or roof safety experienceWhat Youll Get :
