Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Memphis, Tennessee (38104) – Tennessee nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel RN

Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Start Dates : 12 / 1 / 2025 or 12 / 15 / 2025

Assignment Length : 13-week contract

Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 17 : 00); schedule may vary per department needs

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1980-$2120

Call Requirement : Yes

Weekend Requirement : As needed

Holiday Coverage : Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays if scheduled

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience required (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers)

At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment

Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC guidelines)

BSN preferred

Current BLS certification (must remain valid throughout assignment)

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (no local candidates)

All requested time off (RTO) must be provided at submission; no additional RTO after offer

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Prepare and maintain the CVOR, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and sterile

Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond promptly to changes in condition

Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as needed

Float to similar units or campuses within 20 miles as required

Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
