Our Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) specializes in caring for medically complex patients who require a higher level of monitoring than the acute setting, but are stable enough to avoid ICU admission. Nurses on this team care for a wide range of patients and gain valuable experience managing both critical and step-down level needs.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with :
- Caring for patients with DKA, sepsis, tracheostomies, stable ventilators, BiPAP / high-flow therapy, and post-surgical ENT
- Administering and titrating IV therapies, including insulin, heparin, cardiac drips, and limited vasopressors
- Managing complex patients who require close observation, multidisciplinary support, and transitional care planning
- Supporting patients recovering from advanced medical and surgical interventions
- Providing patient and family education to support recovery, self-care, and long-term health

What We're Looking For :
Education : 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.Experience : One year relevant experience, preferred.Licensure / Certification : Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
