Director of OSP Operations - Southeast/Central Region

TekCom Resources is looking for Directors of OSP Operations for upcoming work in the Southeast & Central Region. Likely will be remote with travel up to 50% around the region, but it is preferable that you reside near one of our client’s offices.

Our client is well-established and provides turnkey solutions. There is a 3-5 year growth plan for this role to grow within the company, benefits package and a bonus incentive!

This role will heavily focus on managing, developing and growing the OSP construction team. In addition, this role will have P&L responsibility, interact with the CEO, COO and clients, promote the company culture, contribute towards financial management success and work in a fast-paced, high production environment.

If you have a strong OSP construction background, senior leadership experience, a go-getter attitude, P&L experience and have a firm understanding of revenue and net income, this role will likely be a fit!

Job Duties :

  • Lead the OSP construction planning and delivery groups, including in-house, contractors, vendors, inspection and quality control of work performed by contracts
  • Build and maintain relationships and market-level OSP construction personnel
  • Build and enhance a strong OSP construction team that provides proactive support and results-driven execution of responsibilities to meet the current and future business needs
  • Ensure project scheduling, project status reporting and budgetary governance are accurate, timely and consistent
  • Manage KPI’s and service level agreements for construction activities while proactively taking actions to improve performance as needed
  • Continually drive the development effective processes and process improvements
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for leaders as needed
  • Optimize the existing OSP infrastructure to encourage a positive customer experience
  • Understand customers’ needs while addressing them and improving the customer experience
  • Demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Develop, implement and monitor project status reporting
  • Monitor and assess current trends and emerging developments within the telecommunications industry
  • Keep up with best practices and trends relevant to fiber construction and design technologies
  • Manage and coach employees to increase engagement, morale and strengthen professional development
  • Continually strive to develop talent within the construction organization to promote individual development and career growth within the company
  • Perform related duties and as other responsibilities as assigned

Background Our Client is Seeking :

  • 7+ years of OSP Construction experience in a senior leadership role
  • Previous experience overseeing underground, aerial and fiber splicing crews
  • P&L management experience, results driven and excellent analytical skills
  • Firm understanding of revenue and net income
  • Experience managing large projects and large teams
  • Ability to develop and mentor a team
  • Experience having direct reports
  • Ability to travel around market up to 50%
