Our client is in need of a Registered Nurse to be a Unit Manager in the Wilmington, MA area! Job Details : Title : Registered Nurse Unit Manager (on-site) Length of Engagement : Contingency OpenRate : Depends on Experience The RN Unit Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring quality resident care, managing staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance within the long-term care facility. Nursing Staff Management :
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and schedule coverage.
Clinical Oversight :
- Oversee resident care and ensure quality standards are met.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings.
- Conduct resident assessments and develop care plans.
- Monitor and ensure proper documentation of resident care.
Administrative Duties :
- Manage unit operations and coordinate daily activities.
- Maintain accurate resident records and reports.
- Ensure proper inventory and supply levels.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- 3-5 years of long-term care nursing experience
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
