POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to serve as a Patient Care and Clinical Support Coordinator . This hybrid role blends front-desk responsibilities, clinical support, and patient experience coordination. You ll be the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment journey, from check-in to post-care instructions, while supporting both administrative and clinical operations.

This position requires strong communication skills, reliability, and a patient-centered mindset. You ll work closely with physicians and staff to ensure smooth, safe, and compassionate care.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Greet patients and create a welcoming, professional first impression
  • Manage low-volume calls, emails, and patient inquiries with empathy
  • Support patients through registration, post-care instructions, and follow-up
  • Verify insurance, collect copays, and securely manage medical records
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate care across treatment and imaging suites
  • Assist with ordering supplies and receiving deliveries
  • Prepare patients for treatment (no blood draws required)
  • Take vitals, prep exam rooms, and assist with infection control
  • Help with patient transfers and comfort during procedures
  • Support clinical trial and imaging patients as needed
  • Assist physicians with chart documentation (scribe experience a plus)
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure adherence to safety protocols

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate s degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential, preferred
  • 5+ years in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance workflows
  • Experience as a medical scribe is a plus
  • Discretion with confidential information and sound judgment
  • Ability to sit, bend, squat, and assist with patient transfers as needed
  • Willingness to arrive early or stay late to support patient needs
