Auxiliary Systems Engineer - Jr.

Job Description : This position supports the Aircraft Carrier Design and Systems Engineering Directorate (SEA 05V) at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The selectee will serve as an Auxiliary Systems Engineer, reporting to the Auxiliaries Systems Engineering Manager (SEM), supporting the three Ford Class Aircraft Carrier Ship Design Managers (SDMs) and their Deputies.

The duty station will be on-site at the Washington Navy Yard. Full-time remote work will not be entertained. After an initial familiarization period to learn people and processes, a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days on site may be considered.

Duties : \n

• Provide support for Aircraft Carrier auxiliary systems such as Air Conditioning (AC) plants; refrigeration systems (including modular systems); seawater and freshwater systems including pumps; oxygen and nitrogen generating systems; Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Damage control systems, emergency diesel engines, etc.

Required Skills and Experiences :

\n

Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting the Navy, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marines.

Engineering technician who was qualified to stand duty as an Engineering Duty Officer (EDO)

\n

Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active SECRET clearance.
