Description :

The Senior Data Analyst will be a critical contingent resource supporting the Procurement / Business Diversity Development Digitization Initiative (PBDI) . This initiative aims to modernize and streamline the airport's procurement and supplier diversity processes. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled technical analyst responsible for all data-centric aspects of the project, including data discovery , meticulous data mapping , and the development of dynamic, insightful dashboards to track project progress and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role requires a strong balance of technical proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, combined with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Data Discovery & Profiling : Conduct thorough data discovery and profiling across various source systems relevant to procurement, contracts, and supplier diversity. Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps.

Data Mapping : Define and execute complex data mapping strategies between current source systems and the target digitized platform(s). Ensure data transformation rules are accurately documented and implemented.

SQL Development & Data Extraction : Write, optimize, and execute advanced SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the digitization process.

Dashboard & Report Development : Design, build, and maintain high-impact, interactive business intelligence dashboards (e.g., in tools like Tableau or Power BI ) to visualize project status, adoption rates, supplier diversity metrics, and procurement process efficiencies.

Stakeholder Management : Collaborate closely with the PBDI project team, IT, and business leaders from Procurement and Business Diversity Development to gather requirements, present findings, and ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.

Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data models, data flows, mapping specifications, and dashboard logic.

Quality Assurance : Perform rigorous testing and validation of data outputs and reports to guarantee accuracy and reliability.

Required Qualifications

Experience : Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably within a large enterprise or government / airport setting.

Technical Expertise :

SQL Mastery : Highly adept at writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions (e.g., in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or comparable database systems).

Data Visualization : Proven experience designing and developing robust, user-friendly dashboards using industry-leading BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI ).

Analytical Skills : Exceptional ability to translate complex business problems and requirements into technical data solutions and actionable insights.

Domain Knowledge (Preferred) : Familiarity with procurement, contract management, or supplier diversity (e.g., DBE, MBE, WBE programs) data models and processes.

Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
