As a Vice President on the Insurance Team, you will leverage your analytical abilities and industry knowledge to make and support credit decisions for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will manage exposure to a variety of insurance companies and related financial institutions, demonstrate sound credit judgement, and build strong relationships across the firm.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage exposure to a client base consisting of North American Life, Property & Casualty, Reinsurance, Brokers and other related financial institutions
• Lead the due diligence and risk grading of your portfolio; evaluate and action credit requests, risk grading, and on-going monitoring and management of a diverse portfolio of risk including traditional credit products, markets products (derivatives, trading, and financing), intraday liquidity facilities, and other credit exposures
• Demonstrate sound credit judgement and effective risk monitoring through collaboration across multiple lines of business and credit teams
• Manage the daily risk demands of a portfolio of clients, evaluating and executing on a variety of transactions for insurance companies and similar financial institutions
• Oversee transaction execution, including client analysis, preparation of credit approval materials, lead discussions with bankers, legal documentation negotiation, setup of credit facilities and ongoing monitoring of clients post transaction approval
• Build strong relationships and maintain open communication channels with colleagues across the firm, including bankers, operations, legal, and finance
• Monitor clients and update key stakeholders on important developments with regard to clients or industry and potential impact on credit ratings
• Stay informed about the evolving economic, legislative, and regulatory environment that impacts the insurance sector
• Provide leadership and input into key projects and contribute to process and efficiency improvement initiatives
• Manage, train and mentor the team's junior credit officers, fostering their development and growth
