Job Summary
- The Estimator reviews plans and prepares bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Gather, calculate, and compile takeoff data for use in bid proposal estimatesLeverage measurement technologies to produce more efficient and accurate takeoffsUtilize standard estimating software and CRM tools to build and present accurate quotesDevelop estimates where predetermined standards are not available, using sound judgment and historical dataAnalyze bids, competitors, margins, and closure rates to help shape winning strategiesProvide Operations with necessary details for successful job start-ups, including scope clarifications and production assumptionsEnsure estimates align with branch production capabilities, regional pricing strategy, and client expectationsIdentify opportunities to streamline estimating processes and improve accuracy through data and feedback loopsEducation and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Horticulture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the commercial landscaping or construction industryFamiliarity with estimating software; proficiency a plusProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong work ethic and attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentCustomer service mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersExperience using CRM systems, particularly SalesforceBilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a strong plusPhysical Demands / Requirements :
Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and computer printerPosition is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the timeWork Environment :

Compensation Pay Range :
60,000 - 85,000
