DVI Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) are responsible for providing itinerant vision related education services to students in a variety of settings such as public, charter, & private schools, medical facilities, homes, & daycare centers. TVI is a critical member of students' Individualized Education Plan teams. Job duties include Braille instruction, functional vision & learning media assessments, adapting core curriculum materials, and consultative services. This position collaborates with families, school personnel, and related service providers and agencies.Essential Functions

Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
Applicants must provide proof of negative Tuberculosis test within the last 12 months before start date.
