The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham's unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. We are open Monday through Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm and are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to pick up shifts to cover call out, vacancies, and vacations. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education / certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.
Job Summary
We are seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to provide coverage across five of our specialty practices. These include :
All of our practices are located within a 10-minute drive of each other. Minimal travel between practices will be required based on coverage needs. Locations :
Summary : The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.

Licenses and Credentials : Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience : Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
