Western Funding is a fast growing, specialized consumer finance company and subsidiary of Westlake Financial Services, providing automobile financing to borrowers with limited access to traditional credit. Western Funding enables the origination, accepts assignment of and services retail installment loan contracts originated by its national network of automobile dealers. Dealers own their portfolios and share in the collections on the associated installment loan contracts.

Western Funding Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will be responsible for month end entries and close, reconciliations, financial reporting, forecasting, system implementation projects, vendor analysis, and ad hoc projects per management request. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities include :

• Perform daily bank, G / L, and various other account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
• Record accruals for month-end entries
• Support various key month-end closing procedures
• Analyze account information for asset, liability, and expense journal entries
• Research variances on Accounts Payable and Account Receivable ledger & subledgers
• Practice a strong working knowledge of technical accounting regarding loans, disbursements, revenue recognition, credits / debits, etc.

Education, knowledge, skill & licenses :

The expected pay for this role is $80,000 to $92,000 per year with a 10% bonus. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
