As a Procurement Specialist your duties will include but aren't limited too
- Evaluate requisition methods based on contract requirements, competitive bidding processes, and dollar thresholds, including managing electronic bidding.
- Select appropriate vendors to procure goods and services in alignment with organizational policies and procurement standards.
- Input purchase order details and maintain accuracy of records within the organization's designated software system.
- Administer procurement contracts by overseeing pre-bid processes, finalizing agreements, issuing purchase orders, and managing associated payments.
- Collaborate with requestors to prepare bid specifications, set timelines, and invite vendors with relevant experience to submit proposals.
- Analyze bid submissions, resolve technical or language ambiguities, and award contracts to responsible vendors offering the best value.
- Identify and establish relationships with new vendors to expand sourcing options for supplies, technology, and specialized services.
- Facilitate purchases of software, hardware, and other commodities while ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines.
- Maintain positive relationships with current vendors, updating records and ensuring proper documentation.
- Address procurement-related challenges between vendors and internal departments to ensure seamless operations.

The ideal Procurement Specialist will have :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.At least two years of procurement experience, preferably within a large organization.Demonstrated expertise in corporate procurement, purchasing processes, and contract negotiations.Familiarity with procurement systems and tools, including experience with organization-specific software.Ability to create comprehensive written proposals by integrating diverse requirements.Strong problem-solving and communication skills to resolve issues effectively.Proven ability to manage multiple procurement tasks within a fast-paced environment.If this seems like the job for you, click the apply button today and become an integral part of the team!
