Purchasing Specialist – $24–$26 / hr – Temp-to-Hire – On-Site in Springfield, PA

Join a fast-paced procurement and supply chain team supporting global heavy industry clients. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist with strong vendor management and order processing skills. This full-time, temp-to-hire position offers hands-on experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, logistics, and international trade .

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing : Identify and source products domestically to meet client specifications at competitive prices.

Quoting & Bidding : Prepare and send accurate quotes with a 24-hour turnaround goal.

Order Processing : Place and track purchase orders, monitor freight shipments (air and sea), and ensure on-time delivery.

Vendor Management : Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage contracts.

Communication : Provide clear, timely updates to clients and vendors via phone and email.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.

Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment .

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in international trade, purchasing, or sales is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems preferred.
