As a Patient Care Specialist (PCS) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in a dedicated team that is committed to providing exceptional care to patients experiencing renal failure. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you'll contribute to essential treatment activities that significantly impact the lives of our patients.
Your Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Engagement : Work closely with patients to deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatments. Your tasks will include taking patient vitals before and after treatment, starting and monitoring the treatment process, terminating sessions, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians.
- Technical Responsibilities : Ensure quality care by preparing dialysis machines, disinfecting equipment post-treatment, conducting safety checks, and maintaining logs for quality control, always adhering to protocols and regulations.
- Safety First : Implement appropriate safety measures, including using personal protective equipment. You will work in accordance with company policies and state / federal regulations, and actively participate in staff meetings and educational offerings.
Your Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.A strong desire to support patients in a healthcare setting.Previous experience in healthcare, including roles in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), is beneficial.Comfort in handling solutions, including mixing acids and bicarbonates per protocol.Able to distinguish all primary colors.Additional Requirements :
Completion of the USRC training program, approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire.CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as per state requirements.Must obtain Patient Care Technician certification through an appropriate state certification program or a nationally recognized certification program within 18 months of hire and maintain good standing.Ready to Make a Difference?
