Senior Controls Engineer - Archdale, NC

Under the direction of the Design Engineering Manager, the Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for both new product development and the redesign of legacy equipment to address parts obsolescence. The primary focus will be on designing, developing, testing, validating, and troubleshooting industrial control panels incorporating VFDs, PLCs, and internally developed hardware and software.

• Design products that meet engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost and schedule constraints.
• Ensure conformance with NEMA, UL, and internal company standards for quality and manufacturability.
• Create and maintain 3D / 2D models, design layouts, and production drawings using CAD tools.
• Evaluate and redesign legacy equipment to address component obsolescence.
• Serve as a technical resource for field support, resolving product-related questions and issues.
• Generate reports related to product design, quality, and testing.
• Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to verify product performance, requiring proficiency with electrical test equipment and laboratory procedures.
