Hospitality & Special Events Director

Job Description Hospitality and Special Events Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations during a PGA-sanctioned golf tournament. This includes managing vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality guest experiences, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinating logistics for concessions and hospitality areas. Job Responsibilities Vendor Management Select, contract, and manage food and beverage vendors. Ensure vendors meet quality, service, and compliance standards. Coordinate vendor setup, operations, and teardown. Operational Oversight Develop and execute a comprehensive food and concessions plan. Oversee layout and logistics of concession stands, hospitality tents, and VIP areas. Monitor inventory, staffing, and service levels throughout the event. Budget & Financial Management Manage food and beverage budgets, including forecasting and cost control. Track revenue and expenses, and provide post-event financial reporting. Guest Experience Ensure a high-quality, consistent culinary experience for all attendees. Address customer service issues and implement improvements as needed. Compliance & Safety Ensure all food operations comply with local health codes and PGA standards. Coordinate with security and safety teams to maintain a safe environment. Team Leadership Supervise on-site food service staff and volunteers. Provide training and support to ensure smooth operations. Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for food-related inquiries. Collaborate with tournament leadership, sponsors, and hospitality partners.
