Responsibilities Work in a pediatric oncology unit within a Level I Trauma Center Float as needed to the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit Patient ratio averages 1 : 3 Night shifts (4x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00) Every other weekend required Uses Epic for charting 13-week contract assignment Must participate in float pool per facility policy Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric oncology and BMT patients First-time travelers are accepted Return staff must be gone for at least 2 years to be eligible as travelers No local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility Requests for time off longer than 7 days require facility approval Scrubs or dress code details will be provided upon assignment Requirements Active CT or compact RN license or eligibility to obtain before start Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric oncology RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I trauma or travel experience) APHON certification required Chemotherapy Administration certification required CPHON / CPON certification preferred Trauma center experience in a large facility required Willingness to complete facility-specific online modules before start Flu vaccine required with no declinations permitted COVID vaccine with booster required unless medical or religious exemption is granted Reference required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621142.
