Your Role on the Team

Duties include, but are not limited to :

Provide administrative and logistical support for departmental operations, events, faculty recruitment, and special projects.

Coordinate graduate student, faculty, and personnel events-including catering, flyers, logistics, RSVPs, and reminders.

Liaise with faculty, staff, students, centralized units, guest speakers, and external vendors (e.g., catering, travel, AV).

Utilize campus systems (KFS, UCLC, EPIC), scheduling tools (Zoom, campus calendar), and departmental communication platforms (websites, newsletters, listservs).

What It Takes to be Successful

Required :

Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and online collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom).

Ability to coordinate logistics and scheduling across multiple stakeholders with attention to detail and policy compliance.

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Preferred :

Experience with UCI systems and processes.

Event planning experience, including faculty recruitment support and / or hotel or conference coordination.

Familiarity with website management, newsletters, and social media.

Experience supervising student workers and knowledge of academic personnel procedures.

Pay Rate : $32.74 / hour

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements.Certaintemporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles.

The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment. Comprehensive benefits options are also available for temporary employees, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
