About the Company & Opportunity : Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a leading and steadily expanding manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Beaverton-based accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every step of the payables process. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key part in maintaining vendor relationships, supporting daily operations, and contributing to process improvement initiatives within a collaborative finance department.

Key Responsibilities : Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Process and code a high volume of invoices accurately within the ERP system, ensuring timely approval and payment.
  • Manage vendor relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining open communication.
  • Prepare and process weekly payments, including check runs, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to verify purchase order matching, job costing, and proper expense coding.
  • Maintain and update vendor files, including W-9s, insurance certificates, and compliance documents.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of AP processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications : Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (such as Sage, Oracle, or NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.
  • Understanding of purchase order matching and general accounting principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle high-volume workflows.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
