Accountant Contract Position

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Hamtramck, Michigan. This role involves managing essential financial tasks and ensuring accurate accounting processes. The position requires collaboration with the finance team to support month-end and year-end audits, as well as other accounting functions.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Reconcile bank statements and ensure alignment with internal accounts.

Post receipts and expenses promptly and accurately.

Generate and review financial statements to assess the organization's financial health.

Perform ledger reconciliations to ensure proper account management.

Assist in audits and facilitate month-end and year-end closing activities under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

Utilize accounting systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely transactions.

Requirements :

Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as ERP and Concur.

Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Solid understanding of auditing and financial statement preparation.

Familiarity with balance sheet account reconciliation.

Ability to work with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Strong skills in financial services and accounting functions.

Knowledge of ADP systems is preferred.

Capability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.
