Position Summary

We are looking for a VP, Partner, Portfolio Management to lead a team of four to five media planners, working on a major theatrical / home entertainment / television account. Primary role will be to lead an integrated media planning process, including constructing, executing, and managing effective media strategies and tactics for multiple campaigns at a time, across different divisions. Ideal candidate will have a strong background in both traditional (linear broadcast) and digital (CTV, Digital Direct, Social / Search) platforms, with an inherent interest / passion for the entertainment landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated media planning, investment and activation across TV, CTV, Digital, Outdoor, and Radio
  • Oversee top-line strategy behind performance-based (Search / Social) campaigns
  • Contributes to annual upfront strategy development and implementation for both broadcast and digital
  • Develop media strategies consistent with brand marketing objectives, leaning into data and science where applicable
  • Ensure plans deliver upon agreed KPI's
  • Recommend targeted, innovative media vehicles consistent with media strategies
  • Complete detailed competitive analysis and US marketplace updates / trends
  • Inform budgetary discussions and incremental funding requests
  • Maintain relationships with all levels of client contact; manage requests including plan changes, budget changes, marketplace information, etc.
  • Prepares and makes presentations to clients regarding media recommendations, ensuring buy-in
  • Manage integrated supervisors and planners on day-to-day responsibilities including media plan updates, training and development, billing, digital reporting, program negotiations, etc.
  • Support leadership with projects / assignments outside the standard scope of day-to-day assignments
  • Negotiate digital program deals and annual endeavor deals
  • Ensures best practices are applied across account responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Seven to nine years of experience in media planning including three to five years management experience required
  • Entertainment experience strong plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; high level of comfort presenting to clients and internal senior management
  • Self-Starter, demonstrates Initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset; effective at communicating across multiple departments (client, broadcast buying team, analytics team, OOH team, etc.)
  • Prioritizes mentorship and career development of team
  • Thrives in fast paced environment; nimble, flexible and solution-oriented
  • Proven track record with client relations and growing existing business
  • Solid awareness of industry trends and planning / measurement models

    The salary range for this position is posted below.
