This position is open only to Colorado state residents. FLSA Status : Non-Exempt; position is eligible for overtime compensation.

The Office of Rental Assistance unit exists to create and maintain affordable housing options and partner with local service providers and private owners to offer housing with appropriate supportive services for persons with special needs : i.e., behavioral health disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness. This work unit exists to allow people with disabilities to stay in their homes and communities and out of nursing facilities or other institutions by making their homes affordable, safe, and accessible.
The Community Access Team (CAT) partners with the Department of Health Care Policy and Finance (HCPF), local service providers, and private housing owners to offer subsidized housing with appropriate supportive services for persons who are transitioning out of institutions or at risk of institutionalization. This Community Access Team (CAT) voucher program Administrator provides rental assistance to assist people with disabilities to live independently in the community, working closely with the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF).
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights :
Experience Only : Five (5) years experience administering a state or federal rental assistance program that includes issuing vouchers and ensuring program compliance. Program administration includes managing applications, caseload management, determining eligibility, understanding and application of program regulations.
OR Education and Experience : A combination of related education in human services, psychology, sociology, social work, public administration, or a closely related field (as determined by the agency) AND experience as described above equal to five (5) years.

Required Competencies :
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in the state's financial system, Colorado Operations Resource Engine (CORE)
State of Colorado experience in local government, housing, homeless, or human services programs;
At least one year of professional experience in affordable housing or homeless programs;
Knowledge and experience with federal and state affordable housing programs;
Experience working with high support needs (persons who are disabled and / or persons experiencing homelessness)
Experience in compliance monitoring
Experience with Elite housing software
Experience with Google Suite
