Payroll Specialist LHH Recruitment is working with a company in Tempe who is in search of a full time payroll specialist to join their team. This job is fully onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. To be considered for this role, you must have multi state payroll processing, as well as Union payroll knowledge. The hourly rate is between $26 / hr-$31 / hr DOE.

Responsibilities :

• Process weekly and bi-weekly multi state payrolls in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Manage and reconcile union payrolls, including dues, benefits, and wage reporting.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy of pay rates, deductions, and accruals.
• Review and audit timecards, labor distributions, and adjustments for accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and department managers to resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Stay current with changes in payroll regulations, union contracts, and wage laws.
