Job Duties :
- Manage and direct the company's engineering work.
- Lead and develop the company's engineering business development and client relations.
- Working out of the Portage area office, candidates will provide clients with engineering solutions for construction and maintenance / reliability issues.
- Direct / manage engineering operations for the company.
- Establish operational plans and staffing levels to develop offices capable of performing multiple large-scale projects and maintenance work.
- Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
- Review performance data (financial, budgets, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels
- Oversee the writing of scope, budget, QAQC, continual improvement, and research and development
- Monitor and develop professional staff to maximize their potential
- Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Serves as Company representative at all levels of operations
- Other duties as assigned
- Monitor quality and process control, and suggest improvements as needed.
Qualifications :
- 8 - 10 + years’ experience in engineering Industrial buildings, large-scale equipment, and maintenance.
- Professional Engineer registration required. Structural Engineer registration is preferred.
- Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills
- Experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the industrial, commercial, or residential engineering industry is a plus Experience preferred in : construction, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or steel processing environments.
- Proficient in 3D analysis, CAD, and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel. Experience in FEI software preferred.
