Business Development Director - DISA
GDIT is seeking a Business Development Director - DISA, to focus on pursuing opportunities and growing business with its Defense Agencies sector. The position will support our Defense Division, and this Director will lead business development concentrated on DISA.

As a Business Development Director, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our Defense Division. You will play a crucial role in developing a pipeline of new opportunities with DISA and important customer missions.
Responsibilities include :
- Develop a pipeline of new opportunities for assigned Sector or market segment
- Lead identification and qualification of new business opportunities that support the account plan, Sector growth goals, and submit targets, throughout the opportunity life cycle.
- Lead early development of win strategy during the Assessment Phase, prior to assignment of a Capture Manager
- Manage all aspects of account growth, new business development and customer relationship management across all levels within assigned accounts.
- Meet with customers to understand the customer territoryrelative to portfolio of deals
- Lead identification, qualification, and capture on select OTAs with assistance from the Defense CTO / SA.
- Execute call plans to collect information about particular opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proffers and tests potential solutions; qualify opportunities; document customer meetings in Salesforce.
- Meet with OEM vendors, other GD business units, and potential industry partners to collect information about opportunities and customers
- Develop customer relationships, improve customer intimacy
- Identify competitors, assess strategic fit, assess OCI
- Prepare for and brief opportunities at formal gate reviews.
- Develop and brief Pursuit Reviews
- Provide insight from customer point of view throughout opportunity life cycle.
What You Will Need To Succeed
Education : BS degreeExperience : 10+ years of Sales / BD / Capture / Proposal to include experience concentrating on DISA / and / or operational experience within the DoD / DISATechnical Skills : Relationships with DISA stakeholders and Senior Leadership; Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), SharePoint, and all MS Office applications; Deep knowledge in at least one technical discipline, ie Cloud Services, Software Development, Networks; Experience w Strategic Planning; ideal candidate should have a demonstratable record of success within DISASecurity Clearance Required : Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearanceUS Citizenship requiredRole requirements : Remote with frequent travel to GDIT / customer locations with some extended travel required during proposal phase.GDIT Is Your Place

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
