About the Role :

You will perform both therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring quality images are provided for radiologists and physicians. This role involves :

  • Operating advanced imaging equipment to detect and map radioactive drugs within patients, producing diagnostic images.
  • Accurately positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical factors.
  • Ordering, preparing, administering, and disposing of radiopharmaceuticals in line with established protocols.
  • Following radiation safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Submitting high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintaining the functionality of imaging equipment and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Contributing to a clean and organized department.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Education and Certification Requirements :

  • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • No prior experience required, making this a great opportunity for recent graduates!
  • Must obtain ARRT-N and CNMT credentials within 6 months of hire.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to perform patient lifts and use diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong visual and auditory skills required for patient care and equipment operation.
  • Professional Licenses / Certifications :

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or ARRT-N certification.
