Microchip USA is a fast-growing tech distributor headquartered in Tampa, FL. We are a crucial supplier for some of the world's largest electronics manufacturers. We source and distribute high-end electronic components like semiconductors, integrated circuits, FPGAs, MCUs, and many others. This allows us to solve complex supply chain problems for our clients.

We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Specialist. The job is a critical role for our team; you will streamline efficiency and improve overall processes around sourcing electronic components . You will locate, evaluate, and develop vendors outside of our approved vendor list (AVL). Utilizing Microchip USA’s core values of Efficiency, Dedication , and Excellence , you will be set up for success.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct market research to ensure the company acquires the best quality electronic parts
• Assess the quality, reliability, and production capacity of potential suppliers based on factors like quality certifications, delivery times, and cost structure
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best price, payment terms, and delivery schedules with a win-win mindset
• Undertake contract management regarding complex procurement
• Understand the supplier and internal politics to successfully influence the decision makers and achieve Microchip USA’s and our client’s needs

This is a full-time position. The job is in-office, in-person only. Reliable transportation to the office is required. Our working hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, and Friday 9 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM at our office in Houston.
