LPN positions in Westchester, NY
The Licensed Practical Nurse provide direct nursing sub-acute care to patients to include administer medications and treatments and supervise the day to day activities performed by nursing assistants to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
LPN Responsibilities
- Assist in the orientation, training and supervision of nursing personnel, attends to the daily operations of the unit per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed as well as collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Assess each resident daily and implement a change in the course of action as needed
- Supervise safety and infection control policies are in place and consistently followed by all staff
- Deliver nursing care within the scope of planned care and a dminister medication and treatment while m aintaining established procedures for charting and reporting
- Performs related administrative tasks and documents in EMR
- Assist the physician on rounds and ensure that pertinent information is communicated to and from them and orders are taken correctly
- Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families
