We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication and Assembly Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and quality control of metal products, as well as ensuring workplace safety and effective communication throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities : Fabrication
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and project plans.
Measure and cut sheet metal using tools such as shears, saws, and plasma cutters.
Form and shape metal using brakes, rollers, presses, and other fabrication equipment.
Perform welding and soldering to join metal components.
Drill and punch holes for fittings and assembly purposes.
Assembly
Assemble parts using rivets, screws, adhesives, and other fastening methods.
Inspect assemblies to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
Maintenance
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Repair and replace damaged or defective parts as needed.
Quality Control
Inspect finished products to verify they meet quality and customer standards.
Ensure all work adheres to company specifications and requirements.
Safety
Follow all workplace safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identify and report potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
Communication & Documentation
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to meet production deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, tasks completed, and any project-specific notes.
Additional Responsibilities
Fabricate custom pieces tailored to specific project needs.
Package and prepare items for shipping or on-site installation.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
Proven experience in metal fabrication, assembly, or a related field.
Proficiency with hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication machinery.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
