Certified Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for an Inpatient Facility / HIMS Certified Medical Coder, Quality Associate.

Key Responsibilities

Provide guidance on coding and billing, ensuring compliance with guidelines

Review medical records for accuracy in clinical coding and compliance

Assist in maintaining coding consistency and provide training to staff

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience

5 years of recent experience in acute-care inpatient facility-based medical coding

Active certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent

Thorough knowledge of ICD Coding and DRG / CPT coding principles

Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
