Travel L&D RN Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Unit : Labor & Delivery, 16-bed unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Start Date : October 6, 2025 End Date : January 5, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour days (6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910-$1960 Scrubs : Provided Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience High-risk L&D experience required Immediate newborn care skills NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification BLS / ALS certification (Basic Life Support / Advanced Life Support) Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification Experience with Cerner EMR and FetaLink preferred Strong communication skills and adaptable, outgoing personality L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced electronic monitoring equipment Assist with and circulate for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst procedures Provide immediate newborn care and family support Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and physicians Float as needed to MFMU (Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit), MOMB (Mother Baby), and NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and healthcare guidelines Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Asheville, NC!
