Platform Infra Architect

Description

Responsible for Platform Infrastructure Transition and Transformation Management, platform templates and delivery of infrastructure solutions for our enterprise client mission-critical systems.

Delivery responsibilities includes management of solution template by platform and also includes infrastructure reference architecture participation, delivery management, implementation scheduling and coordination, financials and contractual support.

We are looking for candidates with a broad background of infrastructure architecture and delivery best practices, including cloud delivery.

Resource must demonstrate proven track-record in infrastructure service delivery for business and the ability to learn quickly as technology advances new innovations and offerings enter the market.

Job Responsibilities -

Establishment of Transition and Transformation management processes. Creating / maintaining a reference and standards document

Establishing Platform templates supporting key dimensions (availability, security, performance, events monitoring, etc ).

Participation in architecture initiatives, build roadmaps for continuous modernization of Enterprise Application platforms

Implement infrastructure solutions per reference architecture, contractual and security requirements.

Ensure that all Infrastructure issues, delays, or client concerns are resolved on a timely basis or escalated to upper management.

Act as SME between IT Service Provider and Application / Business units

Standard Operating Procedures for daily interaction with IT implementation partners

Participate during Incident resolution and RCA

Subject matter expert for applications, business functions and active liasoning resource between the business community including communications, planning and execution

Maintain individual expertise by staying abreast of industry trends, reviewing industry publications, emerging trends and compliance

Help create and maintain disaster recovery processes and technology

Review / modernize / modify configuration, installation, maintenance, and backup processes for data protection

Specific Requirements -

10+ years of overall IT / technical services experience with Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field of Information Technology

Platform and infrastructure architecture experience Cloud, Hybrid and Private hosting

Excellent understanding of ITIL processes, IT systems infrastructure and best practices.

Project management experience in an infrastructure oriented environment

Capable of working in a growth oriented environment, with ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent requests, projects, and responsibilities

Proven track record of leveraging vendor and consultant expertise for IT project delivery and support

Strong analytical, problem solving and judgement skills

Leadership and Customer facing skills

Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills

Fundamental understanding of the following technology areas :

oCompute and Networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN)

oStorage (SAN) and Backup

oVirtualization (Server and Storage), Public, Hybrid and Private clouds

oWeb Technology (Web Servers, Application Servers, Load Balancers)

oSecurity technology and processes - e.g. firewalls, intrusion prevention, compliance monitoring, vulnerability management

oBusiness Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning

oCapacity Planning

oHigh Availability

Well versed with Infrastructure financials operations

High-level understanding of specific technologies :

oCloud Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP or Oracle Cloud

oCisco UCS

oMicrosoft Windows and Linux Operating Systems

oCisco Network Gear

oEMC / 3-PAR

oVMware / Oracle Virtualization
