Job Description :

As the leading bakery equipment supplier, we're growing and need talented teammates like you to help us continue this journey. AMF Bakery is looking to hire a motived go-getter to serve as a Regional Account Manager to East Coast Region. The Regional Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing a strategy for establishing new customer relationships and business opportunities as well as focusing on revenue growth strategy for existing customers that will lead to additional sales of products. The ideal candidate should be able to deliver excellent results and achieve goals set by the business and should have exceptional communication skills. This position will be partnering with Engineering, Project Management, and Marketing teams to deliver superior products and solutions to our clients.

Duties Include :

  • Develop and execute a revenue growth strategy in alignment with our overall direction and capabilities for existing customers leading to the additional sales of products
  • Develop and execute a strategy for establishing new customer relationships and business opportunities in alignment with our overall direction and capabilities
  • Execute thorough customer account analysis and prepare reports of field activities
  • Identify, prioritize and develop leads
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) against targets and forecasts
  • Identify required regional visits and plan specific customer meetings
  • Collate information regarding market pricing and expectations
  • Prepare and present technical and sales presentations
  • Review RFQ's and develop our focused strategy in collaboration with Engineering and Product Management teams
  • Maintain customer relationships, respond to and anticipate customer needs and address any issues raised by customers in a timely manner
  • Manage all customer activity, opportunities, and proposals through CRM Software
  • Continually update CRM and forecast lists
  • Prepare and present technical presentations and sales proposals for customers
  • Attend sales review meetings with the Sales Director
  • Collaborate with Sales Director and Sales VP during contract negotiations including terms and conditions and pricing
  • Negotiate contracts to include commercial terms, pricing and fulfillment of all agreed upon requirements
  • Prepare and review sales contracts and engineering specification documents
  • Participate in turnover meetings following award of contract
  • Partner with project managers to deliver products and solutions per contract requirements
  • Partner with the Product Management and Product Development teams to research / develop new products / ranges
  • Participate in trade shows and collaborate with Marketing Team
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Experience in selling integrated custom engineered process systems within the Bakery industries.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of processing and baking of products including :
  • Bread & Buns

  • Artisan Bread & Rolls
  • Pizzas & Flatbreads
  • Cakes & Pies
  • Pastries & Croissants
  • The ability to learn the technical application of equipment and match to the needs of the customer
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Must be willing / able to travel to visit customers, potential customers, tradeshows and industry functions; requiring approximately 60-80% and should have easy access to a major airport (weekend travel may be required to accommodate customer's schedule).
  • Required Skills (included, but not limited to) :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Bakery Science or equivalent industry experience desirable.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in baking, or food processing equipment or related B2B sales (bakery industry equipment preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience with CRM systems (AMF uses Dynamics365) would be beneficial
  • Experience with AutoCAD software, and ability to interpret layout drawings
  • Must be detail oriented and have a demonstrated ability to provide timely feedback to both internal and external customers.
